Opn Engineering teams have a strong focus on innovation and staying at the forefront of technological advancements. Opn engineering follows agile methodologies i.e. iterative development process, frequent feedback, and adaptability to changes, allowing teams to respond quickly to evolving requirements. What you will be doing :• Improve our data architecture to emphasize speed and resilience, and decrease bottlenecks.• Build observability tools, including metrics, structured logging and distributed tracing and integrate them with our core applications to ensure traceable metrics are available when we need to diagnose issues.• Remediate issues that impact the health and performance of our production systems.• Partner with the Engineering, DevOps and DBAs teams to maintain effective performance reporting and monitoring through instrumentation and testing.• Keep our applications up-to-date and secure with important patches.
Projects you could work on :• We have a bunch of running projects: you can help us instantly maintain and keep them up-to-date to unlock new cutting-edge technologies.• Request tracing! Your mission is to trace all requests from its source down to every service it touches when debugging.• Build automated scripts and code review tools! To help developers be more effective at their jobs from code-start to production, we have a ton of interesting projects in this area.• Continuous integration and delivery. Help lift and maintain our release system to the highest bar.
You• Strong experience and background in Ruby Development.• Extensive knowledge of Ruby on Rails, ActiveRecord, Sidekiq, and PostgreSQL.• Extensive knowledge of Ruby test frameworks like Minitest, Rspec.• Experience in performance monitoring of production systems via APMs (e.g. Datadog).• Experience using Continuous Integration systems (e.g. Buildkite).• Experience using Docker and containerized architectures (e.g. Kubernetes).• Ability to jump into the code base and confidently refactor code with test coverage.• Previous success diagnosing and resolving performance issues in Ruby on Rails.• Have led the development of a critical company initiative or feature, and delivered on time, with quality.• Methodical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.• Work effectively with minimal to no supervision.• Communicate well in English, both verbal and written.อ่านเพิ่มเติม
